# Changelog

All notable changes to MetaCrate are recorded here. The project follows
|
|
[Semantic Versioning](https://semver.org/); the public compatibility surface is
|
|
also fixed by `api/SEMVER-BASELINE.json`.

### Release requirements
|
|
|
|
- Normal development and release validation use Rust 1.97.1. Rust 1.96.0 is
|
|
retained only as the declared minimum-supported-version compatibility gate.
|
|
- The release candidate is not approved while
|
|
`metacrate-ci-matrix release-candidate-audit` reports any blocker. Fuzz-smoke
|
|
is temporarily deferred by explicit project direction; every other gate is
|
|
fail-closed.
|
|
- No artifact-signing identity is configured for 0.0.1. Checked SHA-256 values,
|
|
immutable Gitea build artifacts, license notices, and provenance manifests are
|
|
therefore mandatory.
